CANAL BANK

A development of two semi-detached houses fronting the Royal Military Canal on the Sussex coast.

 

The client had originally bought a house on this site with a view to refurbishment for re-sale.  During the course of the measured survey numerous indications of structural defects were noted and a recommendation made that a full structural survey be undertaken. 

 

It was subsequently determined that the existing house was suffering from significant structural failure and a scheme developed for demolition and replacement with a pair of houses.

Following an extended negotiation with the local planning authority consent was granted.  Detailed drawings were prepared for use by the client's in-house  construction team.
